Try out Net Control off the air with Bob, K9PQ

Taking a turn at Net Control is fun and is the easiest way to be more involved in supporting ACS. Doing it repeatedly will also get you more comfortable running nets so that when we are called out and need Net Control Stations you will be ready to perform this vital role.  But if you haven't been Net Control yet, it can all be a little overwhelming.

In order to ease into being Net Control I'm offering to do dry runs where you and I are the only ones involved.  You be Net Control and I will play the part of the reporting stations.  You can stop anytime and ask questions, you can start over, and we can practice some of the challenging situations that come up like when two stations talk at once or you have trouble getting all of a call sign.

For now I want to do this by phone or in person.  That way I can read off different call signs without worrying about violating any FCC rules.

If you are interested, please contact Bob K9PQ , or just mention during the net that you would like to do a dry run and I will contact you.
